GMiSTEM Zone

The GMiSTEM Zone competitions engages students in real-world technical scenarios that require the application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) critical thinking and enhances their professional skills with regards to that design framework used across all STEM industries.

Students will be randomly assigned to teams, led by a sponsoring coach, as they examine case studies that require broad skill sets including problem-solving, creativity, communication and collaboration to address the scenarios presented.

Students must commit to this extensive competition, which begins mid-afternoon on Thursday, October 12 and culminates with a presentation on Friday afternoon, in front of a panel of judges.

Students in the top three teams have the ability to earn scholarship awards and the winning organization takes home the GMiSTEM Zone trophy! Awards will be presented at the Student Leadership Awards Show.
