From the " Abstract Submission Form" menu tab above, please select the type of abstract you want to submit from the drop-down list. If you have more than one abstract you wish to submit under a different type (e.g., Complete Panel, Roundtable, Open Workshop, etc.), you may do so by repeating the submission steps one at a time for each submission type.
Abstract Submission Types:
Description of Complete Panel Submissions:
A complete panel consists of coordinating the arrangement of 4 to 5 papers related to a common theme. At the time of submission to the website, the panel must include a panel chair, a panel title, and all supporting information for the papers.
Description of Paper Presentation Submission:
Panels consist of four or five presenters of written papers and a panel chair. Presenters make formal presentations of completed works. The panel chair opens and closes the session and coordinates questions and comments from the audience.
Description of Roundtable Submissions:
A Roundtable submission represents an open discussion centered on a specific topic. Moderated discussions involve at least four specialized discussants with profound knowledge or expertise in the chosen subject matter. Unlike traditional presentations, formal papers are not presented during these discussions. The aim of Roundtable discussions is to foster dialogue among participants who bring diverse viewpoints or share findings on the topic at hand.
Description of Open Workshop Submissions:
An Open Workshop is instructional or interactive and does not require attendees to register in advance. These sessions typically address practical topics (e.g., research funding, job searches, syllabus development, or academic administration) or involve hands-on audience participation (e.g., mock interviews, mediation exercises)
Description of Research and Pictorial Showcase Submission:
The Research Showcase features visual displays of research designed to encourage informal interaction between authors and attendees. The primary author must be present for the entire session and remain near their display. Posters should measure 3’ x 4’.
Description of Student Submissions:
Undergraduate and graduate students may submit papers to a regular topical area and present alongside faculty and practitioners. They may also choose to present on an all-student panel, which offers a peer-focused, supportive environment.
Author: An author only, not presenting.
Author/Presenter: A lead author and presenter during the Annual Meeting.
Presenter: A co-author presenting a paper during the Annual Meeting.
Moderator: A moderator only, not an author or presenter.
Moderator/Presenter: A moderator and author that is presenting during the Annual Meeting.
Chair: Volunteer responsible for organizing, timing, and facilitating a structured discussion for a panel.
Chair/Author: A presenting author and volunteer responsible for organizing, timing, and facilitating a structured discussion for a panel.
